Cheese Wedding Cakes and Celebration Cakes
At No2 we have been providing cheese wedding cakes for well over a decade
Our focus is to ensure that you have the perfect selection of cheese for your big day. To do this, we offer a bespoke tasting service for our cheese wedding cakes. We invite you and your partner or whoever it may be to reserve a tasting inside the shop. If you want to make the tasting into a larger gathering and celebration, you are more than welcome to book our Private Tasting Room that can accommodate up to 8 people. The Private Tasting Room is set behind the shop in an ancient, converted barn that has all the facilities, including an affinage (Cheese Cave). We could even age a cheese just for you!
If you choose to do a tasting in the shop, one of our cheesemongers will be on hand for up to 30 minutes to talk through your bespoke cheese selections. Our cheesemonger will cut samples of each cheese to help you decide what your cheese wedding cakes will look like and consist of.
We also have the option of hiring The Private Room to host a tasting to decide your Cake of Cheeses. This is where you and your friends will have great fun tasting and deciding your cheese together. It is also the perfect excuse to get your closest together before the occasion.
Cheese Wedding Cakes
A bespoke Cheese tasting in the shop costs £25 per person. You will taste up to 12 cheeses. As we are a wine shop, we would also be delighted to help pair your cheese with the perfect red, fizzy or still white. We are also able to offer a flight of wines that will perfectly match your cheese selection. A matching wine flight starts at £25 and includes samples of up to 8 wines which equates to circa 400ml of wine per person.
Private Tasting Room
The Private Tasting Room is available to hire exclusively for tasting cheese and can accommodate up to 8 comfortably. Our Cheesemongers will prepare 12 of finest British Artisan Cheeses for you and your guests to enjoy. The cheese chosen will include Wedding/Celebration Cake favourites and some rarities. There will be tasting sheets provided including information on each cheese. You can also choose from a selection of wine specifically chosen for the cheese presented. Wines will need to be pre-ordered. The cost to hire the room for a tasting of 2 starts at £30pp plus £100 for the cheesemonger and does not include wine. Wine selections for cheese will only be made available upon booking.
