Harrow & Hope Brut Reserve NV

What better way to start you festive celebration, than with a glass of finest English Fizz. Henry and Kaye Laithwaite make this exceptional wine just outside Marlow from their own organically farmed vineyard. It’s up there with the very best English Sparkling and certainly on a par with good Champagne. Raise a glass with your family with a world class wine made right on our doorstep. It’s the perfect accompaniment to smoked salmon and pre-meal nibbles.

Te Whare Ra Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand

Te Whare Ra is a small, organic, family-owned winery making some of the best wines coming out of Marlborough. This Sauvignon is a step up from the usual, with real depth of flavour and complexity. A great aperitif and perfect for a cheeky glass or two while you’re cooking up a feast.

Chablis, Gerard Tremblay, Burgundy, France

Chablis is a great wine for the Christmas table and this is one of the finest examples. Gerard Tremblay makes a very classical, traditional style of wine which grace the finest restaurant wine lists around the world. Unoaked but with enough richness to stand up to the turkey and all the trimmings. This is always a Christmas favourite in our house!

Heirloom Pinot Noir, Adelaide Hills, Australia

This beautiful Pinot Noir is also a great turkey wine for those who prefer a red with their Christmas meal (and also perfect if you are eating duck or goose). From organic vineayards, Heirloom showcase the best of South Australia and this wine has been a firm favourite with customers and our team for a long time now.

Château Macquin, Saint-George-Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, France

A classic Claret is great for the Christmas table, and this is a really impressive example without breaking the bank. There is a lovely richness to this wine which is hard to find in right-bank Bordeaux in this price range. It was a real stand-out at a recent tasting and heartily recommended. If there is going to be roast beef or lamb over the holiday period then this is a perfect match. And great with one of our Christmas cheese selections.

Sandeman Unfiltered LBV Port

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a glass of Port to round things off, and this is a cracking example; one of the best Late-bottled Vintage Ports on the market. Sandeman are a Port house rising to the top of the league, with their winemaker being named best Fortified Winemaker at last year’s International Wine Challenge. This is a classic match for the Christmas Stilton but also perfect for mince pies and falling asleep in front of the tv….
