‘Henry’s Seven’ Shiraz/Grenache/Mataro/Viognier 2019, Henschke

£28.95

Available to pre-order for delivery/collection from Thursday Oct 7th

This blend is a tribute to Henry Evans, who planted the first vineyard of seven acres at Keyneton in 1853. The blend highlights the historical introduction of southern French and Spanish varieties to South Australia in those early pioneering days and reflects the history, religion and culture of the Barossa. Fragrant, floral aromas of violets over spicy blackberry, raspberry and blueberry, with underlying spice notes of anise and black pepper, with sage, bay leaf and cedar. The palate is spicy, juicy and concentrated with ripe blueberry and freshly cut strawberry and plum creating layers of flavour.

Impressive wine. BBQ would be great with this.
