Digby Fine English is one of the top tier of English Sparkling wine producers. Based in the West Sussex town of Arundel, they carefully choose grapes from vineyards on different soils to build their blends.
The Leander Pink NV is named after the famous Leander Rowing Club in Henley, of which Digby is the official Sparkling wine. Each bottle sold helps to continue the club’s training academy.
“The blend for Leander Pink took me two years to perfect – it had to capture the spirit of a day at the club during Henley Regatta – late June sunshine, a crisp breeze, huge hats and stripy blazers, and Olympic-grade shells racing down the Thames. Awarded a Gold medal at the International Wine Challenge awards 2019 scoring 95 points and being described as, ‘delicious mature notes of spice, coffee, cream and plums. Pretty in its lightness and well balanced.’

French born Jean-Edouard de Rochebouët is a man who knows a thing or two about sparkling wine; he helped pioneer 'méthode champenoise' wines from Argentina in the early days of Domaine Chandon in Mendoza. Deliciously fruity and finely balanced with superb brioche and shortbread notes on the nose due to its spending 12 months on the lees in bottle, very pale pink in colour with tiny bubbles.
