Pommard 1er Cru, Domaine Jean Javillier

£49.95

Jean Javillier has 7.5 hectares in the famous village of Meursault in the Côte de Beaune. He converted to organic farming
in 1972, something unheard of locally in those days. Today his sons Alain and Thierry run the domaine. The soils are fertilised with compost made up of organic fertilisers – a mixture of horse and cow dung!
This Pinot Noir is very typical of Pommard; ripe, plush and chunky. A good match for feathered game, or an excellent Christmas lunch wine.
