Description

Having fallen in love with Puglia, Giovanni Battista Cantele and his wife Teresa Manara decided to move to Salento to establish a winery in the late 1950s. The whole family is now involved in the business and carries on the legacy with the same passion and energy. While the primary focus is on local varieties like Primitivo, Negroamaro and Bombino, the winery also produces pure expressions of international varieties. The aim is to redefine Puglia’s wines and promote the unique terroirs of Salento with wine of great intensity, precision and freshness.

The  Telero Rosso is a great value red wine blend of the local Negroamaro (80%) grape alongside the international varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is a delicate, fruity wine with soft tones of dark berries: sour cherries, black currants, plums and caraway seeds. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with a good balance and soft, velvety tannins. The finish is fruity and soft.
Telero Rosso pairs perfectly with traditional pasta and pizza dishes, light meats, cold snacks and various bruschettes.
