Witheridge is an alpine style hard cheese made by Rose Grimmond at the Nettlebed Creamery near Henley. Made using pasteurised organic cows' milk sourced and supplied by Rose's family's dairy farm 1 mile down the road from the Creamery. Rose even grows the hay she rolls the Witheridge cheeses in herself. Ageing Witheridge in hay develops a light, fruity flavour to the cheese which varies from year to year depending on what flowers and grasses have grown in the hay field. A local favourite and with just 22 miles between cow, creamery and No2 Pound Street this super local cheese is great for reducing your food miles and supporting two local businesses at the same time.Witheridge is sold in 200g wedges (as shown in photos) which are cut from a larger cheese. If you would like a bigger wedge please order in multiples (e.g. 2 x 200g = 400g) and add a note to your order to say you would like the bigger wedge.
