Gavi ‘La Fornace’, Cinzia Bergaglio
£14.95
This is one of our favourite wines; it’s Gavi that isn’t overpriced!
Bergaglio is situated in Tassarolo, in the heart of the Gavi zone (it could be called Gavi di Gavi…), in the south of Piemonte heading towards Liguria. Cortese is the grape here, and this version has all the herb-scented freshness and juicy, citrus fruit you could hope for. Not a complicated wine, or one that should be revered and sipped in silence; it should be served with great food and drunk heartily with a big grin on your face!
The perfect wine to have with fennel-stuffed seabass doused with really good olive oil. Yum..

Highmoor whole cheese
A semi-soft, washed rind cheese with brothy and bacony notes from the rind made at the Nettlebed Creamery near Henley by Rose Grimmond. Rose's family are dairy farmers and the family farm, located 1 mile down the road, provides all the beautiful organic cows' milk used to make the Nettledbed cheeses. Shape, taste and texture all make Highmoor an interesting addition to any cheese board and given the closeness of the cow to creamery to No2 this is also a great cheese to eat to reduce your food miles and support two local businesses.
