Highmoor – Made by Rose Grimmond in Oxfordshire

A semi-soft, washed rind cheese with brothy and bacony notes from the rind made at the Nettlebed Creamery near Henley by Rose Grimmond. Rose’s family are dairy farmers and the family farm, located 1 mile down the road, provides all the beautiful organic cows’ milk used to make the Nettledbed cheeses. Shape, taste and texture all make Highmoor an interesting addition to any cheese board and given the closeness of the cow to creamery to No2 this is also a great cheese to eat to reduce your food miles and support two local businesses.

Highmoor – Cow’s Milk – Pasteurised – Animal Rennet (Nettlebed, Oxfordshire)

This organic cheese starts off sweet and nutty then slowly becomes stronger and more brothy the longer you leave it to mature. It can have a stronger smell, but we think that adds to the appeal. Semi-soft with a soft, washed rind, it’s best served at room temperature and brilliant spread on a cracker.

Highmoor cheese is made by our good friends at Nettlebed Creamery. Run by Rose Grimond, the team have been making award-winning organic cheese for more than a decade, but the farm has been in her family for more than a century. Across the generations, they’ve always had the same: making delicious, nutritious food as sustainably as possible.
